Broadridge Financial Solutions, today announced that another Canadian financial institution has selected Broadridge Canada’s Smart Document Creation solution for the generation of Fund Facts documents required by the new Point-of-Sale (POS) regulations.

The Smart Document Creation solution will generate regulatory Fund Facts documents for the bank’s mutual funds through an automated document creation process. Using their fund-specific data and customized templates, pro-forma, black-lined and final version documents will be created that are suitable for print, web-viewing and e-delivery. Using Broadridge’s automated document creation process, these documents can be created in a fraction of the time it would take using traditional desktop publishing.

Donna Bristow, Vice President, Client Management and Strategic Product Development, Investor Communication Solutions, Canada, Broadridge, commented, “With our long-standing relationship in place, it was easy to layer on the creation of regulatory Fund Facts to the existing services we already provide. We were able to customize the data loads and document layout to suit their requirements, which resulted in a cost-effective and timely set of regulatory Fund Facts.”

Further to creating the documents, Smart Document Creation will be tightly integrated into Broadridge’s existing Smart Prospectus service which will then provide an end-to-end fulfillment solution. Smart Document Creation can also be extended to cover the creation of MRFPs (Management Reports of Fund Performance), financial statements, and marketing documents.
