LDV’s Richards Signs Up ReferenceDataFactory to Collaborative Network

Lakefront Data Ventures – the company founded by ex-SunGard man Dale Richards – has signed up ReferenceDataFactory to its network. ReferenceDataFactory, formerly known as Unity, is made up of ex-FTI/GoldenSource people, and provides a data abstraction layer. It boasts as clients a number of mainstream Wall Street banks, according to Richards, who as part of the relationship joins the ReferenceDataFactory advisory board. The aim of LDV is to aid collaboration between small companies with “good com-ponents that don’t aspire to be all singing, all dancing enterprise data management platforms on their own, but do want to be at the table where buyers are looking for best of breed components”, Richards says. He promises announcements about further additions to the LDV network in the coming weeks.
