GoldenSource Corporation, the leading enterprise data management solutions provider for the securities and investment industry, has appointed Stephen Engdahl as senior vice president of product strategy. With over 10 years experience in the financial trade and compliance arena, Engdahl will play an integral role in aligning the GoldenSource platform with key business and regulatory drivers facing the capital markets.

“With regulations such as Basel III and Solvency II demanding improved risk management and more robust reporting capabilities, there is a pressing need for financial firms to adopt an integrated data management approach. Firms can no longer afford to have an incomplete picture of data across business lines as they work to increase levels of transparency and ensure compliance. Firms need to review how they approach risk management to ensure they are flexible enough to handle the changing regulations being put in place,” said Stephen Engdahl, senior vice president at GoldenSource.

Mike Meriton, CEO at GoldenSource said, “Financial institutions face a challenging few years as risk-focused regulations come into play, and it’s critical they are able to link up fragmented business lines to establish an overall perspective of operations. Stephen’s extensive experience in financial compliance, and having worked in both the front and back office, will be of benefit to GoldenSource as we enhance our product scope and enter our next phase of growth.”

Engdahl joins GoldenSource after five years as director of product management at Charles River Development, a provider of order management, trading and compliance software. Prior to Charles River, Engdahl worked for CheckFree Corporation, (now FISERV), during which time he held various positions including vice president, product management and marketing for CheckFree Financial and Compliance Solutions (CFACS) as well as other product management, development and marketing leadership roles. Engdahl started his career implementing front office systems in the Trust and Investment Services Division of M&T Bank and is a graduate of Cornell University.
