Following a year of investment in its flagship solution and the acquisition of compliance software firm C8, EDM vendor Cadis has begun 2010 with a bout of hiring, including poaching a number of executives from rival vendors. The vendor has appointed ex-Deutsche Bank vice president Rob Weber as its new managing director in New York, ex-Linedata Services exec Franck Willaime as managing director in Europe, ex-Asset Control exec Mike Meaney as its Asian managing director and ex-Charles River exec Guy Dobson as a strategic business director in London.

Cadis CEO Daniel Simpson hopes the new hires will boost its client reach this year: “In the past two years we have signed 19 new clients and welcoming onboard each of these executives who know our industry so well builds on our plans for global expansion and presence.”

Weber joins from Deutsche Bank Global Markets Equity where he was vice president of global equities for a period of two years. Prior to this, he was vice president of business development at investment management solution vendor DST International (now DST Global Solutions) for three years, as well as working for Cadis EDM rival GoldenSource, FTI, Bridge Information Systems and Muller Data in a variety of sales roles.

Willaime was previously head of sales at investment management solution vendor Linedata Services for a period of four years. Prior to this, he was sales manager for southern Europe at data vendor Reuters in London for two years and area sales manager for four years at vendor SunGard Global Trading.

Sydney-based Meaney joins from EDM rival vendor Asset Control, where he was director of business development for Asia Pacific. Meaney has also previously worked for Thomson Financial Services’ software division and established SunGard Trust and Shareholders Systems’ Asian presence.

Dobson joins from Charles River where he was a sales executive for nearly five years.
