The Bank of Canada has selected CanDeal Data & Analytics (DNA) to provide Canadian dollar-denominated fixed income pricing under a multi-year agreement. The central bank will use CanDeal DNA Reference Pricing across operational activities, market analysis, research, policy development and risk management. The agreement also allows Government of Canada benchmark bond yields derived from CanDeal DNA data to be published on the Bank of Canada website.
The pricing data will support the Bank’s monetary policy, financial system and funds management functions, including its use of the Canadian Collateral Management Service (CCMS).
The Bank’s participation in the CCMS tri-party service is intended to improve the efficiency and scalability of collateral management and liquidity provision, particularly during periods of market-wide stress. CanDeal DNA provides Canadian OTC market data and said the agreement gives the Bank access to its full universe of reference pricing.
