Baines will have responsibility for asset servicing sales and marketing across the EMEA region. She will be based in London, reporting to Frank Froud, head of EMEA for the Asset Servicing business.

Baines was formerly senior vice president, head of GFS sales, EMEA at Northern Trust and before that deputy head of sales at Clearstream in Luxembourg. Baines said: “BNY Mellon Asset Servicing is widely recognised as offering an extremely impressive range of solutions and great market coverage across both the EMEA region and globally. Froud said: “Sue has a great breadth of knowledge and experience when it comes to partnering with clients across all our key European markets. That expertise will be invaluable as we continue to build new relationships with financial institutions and pension funds across the region.

“The EMEA region is very much the engine that will drive our strategic global growth plans in the coming years.
