Trading Technologies/MathWorks Partner for Data Intensive Quant Trading

Subscribe to our newsletter

Trading Technologies International, which develops trading systems for the derivatives markets, has partnered with MathWorks, developer of the Matlab data analysis and numerical computation package, to link the two systems so that data intensive quantitative trading algorithms can access realtime pricing and submit orders directly to markets.

The Matlab Datafeed Toolbox leverages Trading Technologies’ XTAPI interface to access exchange price feeds and position data and to execute custom strategies via the X_Trader execution system.  Quantitative traders have access to a streamlined workflow for harnessing large amounts of data, developing quantitative strategies, and handing them off to  X_Trader.

Rick Lane, EVP/CTO at Trading Technologies, says, “This integration allows our customers to utilise Matlab’s powerful mathematical functions to process massive amounts of quantitative data, then use the resulting insights to seamlessly place orders in the market through the Trading Technologies platform.  We believe our clients will find tremendous value in this solution.”
