TNS Extends Provision of Managed Hosting Services, Plans Expansion in Europe

Transaction Network Services (TNS) has expanded its managed hosting services to provide clients with low-latency connectivity to the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), NASDAQ, and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).

The expansion is based on the acquisition of R2G in January 2019 and includes colocation at the Aurora III based CME data centre, the NASDAQ data centre in Carteret, NJ, and the NYSE data centre in Mahwah, NJ. TNS already offers managed services at the CH4 data centre in Chicago and at NY4 in Secaucus, NJ.

Jeff Mezger, director of product management at TNS, says the company’s provision of colocation is driven by customer need and around locations where the financial community congregates such as New Jersey, Chicago and Frankfurt. On the acquisition of R2G, he comments: “R2G has a very mature and robust hosting stack, it’s well tested, and we are integrating it into the TNS hosting network. Now that we’re going to be in every location we need to be in the US, we’ll expand into Europe.”
