Talking Reference Data with Andrew Delaney: ReferenceDataReview 2.0

Subscribe to our newsletter

In case you hadn’t already noticed, we used our Data Management Summit on May 22 to introduce our new ReferenceDataReview.com website. We officially relaunched RDR – which we first introduced back in 2003, when reference data was no more than a twinkle in the financial data segment’s eye – last week. The response so far has been overwhelmingly positive, I’m happy to report.

To some extent, if you’re reading this you’re probably looking at the new site. But I would urge you to stick around for a little while – or make a diary date to revisit – to explore some of the new features, which we think makes ReferenceDataReview.com a little bit special.

Those of you who know our Low-Latency.com sister site – focusing on, erm, low-latency stuff – will notice a certain similarity between the two. That’s because we’ve adopted LL.com’s SEO-optimised platform and tweaked it for the reference data world. The result has already been a sharp upturn in readership, page views and time spent on site, which was exactly what happened with Low-Latency.com.

In terms of what’s attracting people to the site – and most importantly keeping them there – ReferenceDataReview has been transformed into the destination site for anyone involved in the reference data industry. You’ll find trusted fixtures like A-Team’s unique take on industry developments, in the form of news analysis, commentary and blogs like this one. You’ll be able to download A-Team’s targeted research, on an array of reference data topics from enterprise data management, to identifiers, to corporate actions. And of course our Reference Data Newswire ticker will keep you up to date on reference data developments, with all the chaff taken out.

But the new ReferenceDataReview.com platform allows us to offer more content and content types. You’ll find audio recordings from our Data Management Summit events, plus key PowerPoint presentations. You can listen in to and watch pre-recorded webinars, podcasts and videos. And we’ll be adding a raft of useful resources, from third-party thought leadership papers to 101s, directories and glossaries.

I think you’ll agree that the new ReferenceDataReview.com sets the bar in our market segment. What’s more – just to remind you – it’s all free.

So, take a little time to explore the new site. Kick the tires a bit and let us know what you think. We’d love to hear your views on how we can make it even more useful.
