Securitize Taps Solana, Jump and Others for Launch of On-chain US Equities

Securitize has launched Securitize Stocks bringing prominent US equities on chain for eligible investors in the US, EU and other permitted global jurisdictions. The tokenised asset platform, which accounts for around $5 billion in assets under management, designed the new securities to provide direct 1:1 backing by underlying shares, preserving traditional investor protections, dividends, and applicable voting rights.

The initial lineup of tokenised equities spans major technology and growth stocks, including Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Alphabet, Tesla, Meta Platforms, Amazon, Netflix), Circle, S&P 500 ETF, MicroStrategy and Palantir.

“Tokenised stocks should give investors more than a price on a wrapper that tracks a stock and is only offered offshore,” says Carlos Domingo, Chairman and CEO of Securitize. “The opportunity is to bring equities on chain without leaving behind the ownership, investor protections and market infrastructure that make US capital markets work. Securitize Stocks are designed around that principle, while creating a bridge to a future where issuers themselves can participate directly in tokenisation.”

Unlike traditional offshore tracking certificates, these tokens use a Convertible Entitlement Token structure under UCC Article 8, meaning they can later be converted into direct ownership on the company register if an issuer adopts issuer-sponsored tokenisation.

Secondary market trading will initially occur during extended hours on Securitize’s registered broker-dealer platform, with plans to transition toward continuous 24/7 liquidity. Securitize Stocks will trade alongside issuer-sponsored tokenised equities including Securitize’s own stock, SECZ. Access will remain subject to onboarding, KYC/AML checks, jurisdictional eligibility and applicable securities laws.

The launch brings together a broad coalition of traditional finance, institutional, and decentralised technology providers to manage liquidity, settlement, and clearing. Partners include:

  • Solana Foundation: Securitize selected the Solana network as its core blockchain infrastructure, utilising the USDC stablecoin for transaction settlements.

“Solana is the financial infrastructure for the 5.5 billion people on the internet. Tokenizsd equities give investors around the world access to investments they might otherwise never have had the opportunity to participate in, at internet scale,” says Nick Ducoff, General Manager, Institutional, Solana Foundation. “Securitize Stocks demonstrate what becomes possible when real securities and shareholder rights are combined with fast, efficient blockchain infrastructure. We’re excited to see Securitize launch this offering on Solana as the Token Supercycle accelerates and more of the world’s capital markets move on chain.”.

  • Jump Trading: Acting as the initial market maker, Jump Trading supports liquidity, price discovery, and execution quality through Securitize’s Solana PropAMM liquidity infrastructure.

“Bringing US equities onchain requires liquidity infrastructure capable of delivering the execution quality investors expect from modern markets,” notes a spokesperson for Jump. “PropAMMs on Solana have demonstrated that on-chain markets can deliver tight spreads, deep liquidity and transparent price discovery at significant scale. We’re excited to bring that technology on Securitize’s platform to Securitize Stocks and help build efficient, liquid markets for tokenised US equities.”

  • RQD*: Serving as the clearing and custody engine, RQD* connects the on-chain token activity directly with the Depository Trust Company (DTC). The firm executes 24×5 trades in the underlying securities to match the extended hours of digital markets.

“The evolution of tokenised equities depends on institutional-grade clearing, custody and settlement infrastructure that can support innovation while upholding the standards of the U.S. securities markets,” said Michael Sanocki, CEO, RQD*. “We’re excited to support Securitize as it builds a framework designed to connect onchain markets with the infrastructure that underpins traditional equities today.”

  • Ripple Prime: Operating within the broader institutional ecosystem, Ripple Prime plans to support the launch phase and explore avenues to integrate these tokenised equities into its institutional trading platform.

“Securitize has been a leader in bringing institutional assets on chain, and this launch represents an important next step for tokenised capital markets, requiring the issuance, collateral and liquidity that robust markets need,” says Noel Kimmel, President, Ripple Prime. “As traditional and digital infrastructure converge, Ripple Prime is proud to work with partners driving how these assets become part of a broader institutional trading ecosystem.”

  • Aave: To prepare for long-term on-chain utility, decentralised finance protocol Aave is working with Securitize to explore future lending and collateral applications for tokenised traditional equities.

“Bringing high-quality assets on chain expands what is possible across decentralised finance,” says Stani Kulechov, Founder of Aave. “Securitize has been a pioneer in connecting regulated financial assets with blockchain infrastructure, and Securitize Stocks represent an important step forward. As tokenised equities develop, we’re excited about the potential for these assets to become increasingly useful across onchain markets, including through lending and collateral applications.”

Looking beyond the initial Solana launch, Securitize Stocks are expected to integrate with two major institutional venues that are currently in development: OKXICE’s Tokenised Securities Venue (TSV) and the NYSE’s Digital Platform. Both moves will represent a fuller integration of tokenised assets with TradFi platforms and market participants.
