Sacombank, one of Vietnam’s commercial banks, announced its successful deployment of Oracle Exadata Database Machine, allowing the bank to benefit from the solution’s predictive analytics to make strategic business decisions in real time.

This is the first Oracle Exadata Database Machine to be deployed in Vietnam. The solution provides data warehousing, integrated with Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) with a single 360-degree view of the business and a powerful platform for a wide spectrum of business intelligence tasks ranging from predictive analytics to real-time strategic and tactical decision support throughout the organisation.

This end-to-end Business Intelligence Solution comprise of Oracle Exadata Database Machine, Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Oracle Database 11g Release 2, Oracle Partitioning, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition, Oracle Data Integrator and Diagnostics/Tuning packs which enabled the bank to establish effective management dashboards to support decisions with historical, current and predictive view of the business while accelerating analytics and reports from hours to minutes.

Sacombank made their selection not only because of the synergies between the various Oracle software products, but because of the pre-integrated configuration of the Exadata platform which reduced deployment time, integration cost and offered unbeatable price performance ratio at a lower total cost of ownership with a single point for support.

Sacombank has chosen Oracle Exadata, which has been deployed by FIS bank and STB-Tech, a member of Sacombank Group.

“We are pleased that Sacombank has successfully deployed Oracle Exadata. Sacombank is the first financial institution in Vietnam to implement Oracle Exadata and this is a milestone marking our Oracle Exadata success in Vietnam’s financial sector. We are confident that Oracle Exadata will further improve Sacombank’s operational efficiency and competitiveness in the face of tough competition,” said Ricky Kapur, vice president, technology sales, Oracle ASEAN.

“Investing in IT infrastructure modernization will always be a part of our strategy to achieve excellence in various parts of our business. Exadata powered us with the visibility needed to address risk and growth on a timely manner. The technology has exceeded our expectations, enabling us with extreme performance for advance analytics while saving us overall implementation cost. Sacombank is expecting to enhance its competitiveness and quality of services in all areas with the aid of the management dashboards,” said Tran Xuan Huy, CEO of Sacombank.
