Risk management, pricing and financial analytics solutions provider QuIC Financial Technologies has appointed ex-SunGard director James Hollands as its new sales director for the EMEA region. At SunGard, he was also a sales director for SunGard Adaptiv, part of its Capital Markets and Investment Banking division.

In his new role, Hollands will reporting to Justin Forrest, executive vice president of global sales, and focus on leading the vendor’s sales efforts for its banking and risk management solutions. Forrest hopes Hollands’ 16 years of sales experience will allow the vendor access to a number of “untapped markets” (likely those in which SunGard has a significant presence).

Prior to SunGard, Hollands held sales management roles at Financial Objects, Application Networks and WhiteLight Systems. He also worked for four years in the group risk management division at Royal Bank of Scotland.
