Paul Capital, a global private equity firm, has selected SunGard’s Investran Data Exchange solution to manage the firm’s investor reporting processes. Investran Data Exchange is a web-based, multi-directional portal that provides document management, reporting and workflow solutions to assist alternative investment firms in their fundraising, investor relations, portfolio monitoring and M&A processes. Investran Data Exchange integrates with SunGard’s Investran private equity solution, which Paul Capital has used since 1999 to support its entire investment lifecycle, from fundraising through reporting and portfolio monitoring.

Paul Capital chose Investran Data Exchange for its reliability and ability to help create greater efficiencies in the investor reporting process. Investran Data Exchange provides customers with a self-service portal to post performance reports and quarterly financials in a secure setting for investors to access on-demand. Paul Capital will be able to save dynamic reports in Investran, publish real-time account statements, and offer its investors the ability to execute and download these reports into their Excel spreadsheets.

Randall Schwed, controller at Paul Capital, said, “When looking for a portal to manage our investor reporting, it was important that we chose a solution that was tailored to our business. Our investors are of the utmost importance, and we wanted to ensure they had consistent, secure access to information online. We believe Investran Data Exchange will effectively meet our investor online reporting needs and streamline the flow of information through integration with Investran.”

Lauren Iaslovits, chief operating officer of SunGard’s Investran business unit, said, “Paul Capital joins a growing number of private equity firms upgrading their systems infrastructures to respond more quickly to investor inquiries. Investran Data Exchange provides firms an online forum, tailored to private equity requirements, that allows them to push information out to investors in a secure, real-time environment.”
