OpenFin, the operating system (OS) for enterprise productivity, has announced a strategic partnership with Dow Jones to bring real-time news coverage, expert analysis, and unique insights to financial professionals using the OpenFin Workspace platform. The collaboration aims to streamline access to crucial financial news and information for major banks, asset and wealth management firms, and other financial institutions.

The integration will enable seamless access to Dow Jones Newswires’ market-moving news, real-time alerts, and editor-curated top stories within the OpenFin Workspace platform. Users will also have access to premium, real-time content from The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, MarketWatch, and Investor’s Business Daily. The interoperability of this content with other applications and information sources aims to provide personalised, contextualised, and integrated market views that can accelerate financial decision-making and significantly enhance productivity for end users.

Joe Cappitelli, General Manager of Dow Jones Newswires, commented on the partnership: “Institutional investors and wealth managers need trusted, best-in-class content to capitalise on breaking news and gain a competitive advantage. By partnering with OpenFin, we are able to integrate our market-moving news, data, and insights directly into our customers’ personal workspace. This enhances the user experience and provides them with the context to make smarter, faster trading decisions and build their book of business.”

OpenFin Workspace is designed to power the next-generation digital experience for financial firms, offering complex windowing, advanced search, actionable notifications, and application discovery. The platform’s open model allows financial institutions to create Workspaces that combine best-of-breed apps and content from multiple providers. This approach extends reach and impact for content providers, maximises return on investment for financial institutions, and significantly enhances productivity for end users.

Adam Toms, OpenFin COO and CEO Europe, said: “Dow Jones is one of the world’s largest and most respected providers of market-moving news and insights. With this new collaboration, Dow Jones Newswires can be embedded in an end user’s workflow, fully integrated with all the other apps they use. We’re delighted to work with Dow Jones and its family of premium, trusted brands to make this rich, high-value content available to OpenFin Workspace customers.”

Today, OpenFin is utilised by 90% of global financial institutions, including more than 3,800 banks, buy-side and sell-side firms, wealth and asset managers in over 60 countries. The company has recently expanded into the US government and defence sector through a partnership with IQT, further broadening its reach and impact.
