Omgeo has added Jonathan Beyman, managing director, global head of operations and technology for Citigroup, to its board of managers. He replaces Naresh Kumar, also of Citigroup, who has retired his board position.

Beyman’s current role at Citigroup makes him responsible for the operations and technology division supporting Citibank’s global securities and banking, and global transaction services businesses. Prior to joining Citigroup in 2008, Beyman was managing director, global head of operations and technology for Credit Suisse, where he was responsible for all aspects of the investment bank’s securities, derivatives, loans, commodities and FX operations. He was also a member of the investment bank management committee.

Previous roles include chief information officer and global head of operations at Lehman Brothers, executive vice president and chief information officer at Cendant Corporation and positions at Chemical Bank and Arthur Young & Company.

“Today’s market environment has underscored the importance of community,” Beyman commented. “Close collaboration with counterparties, infrastructure and service providers is absolutely critical to the performance of the industry. By joining the Omgeo community by contributing to the board, I hope to both give and receive insight into how together we can all contribute to making the post-trade world as effective and free of risk as possible.”

Omgeo’s board of managers is comprised of: Paula Arthus, managing director, relationship management, DTCC; Beyman; Taylor Bodman, partner, Brown Brothers Harriman; Matthew Burkley, chief financial officer, sales and trading, Thomson Reuters Markets Division; John Devine, chief operating officer, Threadneedle; Marianne Doan, executive vice president, The Northern Trust Company; Peter Johnston; managing director, global securities and clearing operations, Goldman Sachs; Jon Robson, president, enterprise, Thomson Reuters; Markus Ruetimann, group chief operating officer, Schroder Investment Management; Richard Macek, chairman, Omgeo and Marianne Brown, president and chief executive officer, Omgeo.
