JNAM Adopts Hosted GoldenSource Solution for N-PORT, N-CEN Data Compliance

Jackson National Asset Management (JNAM) has selected GoldenSource to provide a fully hosted data management platform to help meet its regulatory obligations. Specifically, the asset manager, a subsidiary of Jackson National Life Insurance, will use the GoldenSource platform to meet requirements for structured data elements inherent in the impending form N-PORT and N-CEN filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The initiative is aimed at improving data quality, enabling increased capacity, automation, and streamlined business processes. The GoldenSource platform will be used to generate golden copy data from multiple suppliers, ensuring the availability of the right data for JNAM’s data requirements. JNAM has to date used a single data supplier.

According to Daniel Koors, chief operating officer of Jackson National Asset Management, the firm recognised the need for a central data repository to support its activities in numerous areas. Using the GoldenSource hosted solution, he says, JNAM was able to integrate several different data suppliers “with minimal IT involvement from our side,” allowing the firm “to transition to a comprehensive data infrastructure solution to support our growing business.”

JNAM is an SEC-registered investment adviser that provides investment advisory, fund accounting and administration services for several funds and separate accounts that support parent company Jackson National Life’s variable products and employee 401(k) retirement plan.
