Cryptocurrency is all the rage in capital markets, but how does it differ from other asset classes, how will it be regulated and what are its challenges and opportunities for trading firms and exchanges?

panel session at A-Team Group’s recent Intelligent Trading Summit in New York City answered these questions and more, looking at both the short-term and long-term prospects of cryptocurrencies in their many guises.

The panel was moderated by Emilio Mercado, chief operations officer at TrueTrade, a London based broker trading FX, CFDs and later this summer cryptocurrencies, and joined by Richard Chmiel, chief operations officer at AlgoTrader; Kyle Tuskey, chief operations officer at Deep Systems; and Shawn Sloves, chief executive officer at Fundamental Interactions.
