For Users of Swift Alliance Integrator, Volante Adds Value With Validation and Translation Services

Powering finance with data management innovations, Volante today announced new add ons to Swift’s Alliance Integrator to ease Swift deployment and ensure correct message formatting. The Volante Swift Validation and Translation Services leverage Volante’s proven and comprehensive support of Swift messaging dictionaries and functions to reduce the effort involved in connecting to the Swift network, while helping users avoid network rejections of important financial transactions.

“As the highest scoring Swift vendor partner certified in SwiftReady Messaging Data Services, we are uniquely qualified to assist users in linking more seamlessly to Swift,” says Vijay Oddiraju, CEO of Volante. “The Volante Validation Service has been thoroughly tested in customer environments to ensure messages are correct before release to the network. The Translation Service adds predefined support of a broad range of message types, with interoperability between MT and MX formats, and other major messaging standards.”

Functionally, the Volante services operate as a middleware refinement over Alliance Integrator, which provides integration services between the user’s back office applications and Alliance Access, Swift’s prime messaging interface. Volante’s enhanced user interface provides access to all features. Among the industry standards supported are BAI, BAI2, FIX, FPML and EDI, as well as all Swift formats.

“Volante clearly provides added value with its business-oriented interface and pre-packaged Swift functions,” says Eric Meirlaen, business development manager at Swift. “Users of Alliance Integrator gain the benefits of Volante’s traditional strength of simplicity and reusability in integration and message transformation, while addressing the important challenge of validating Swift messages to avoid failure of malformed payment orders.”

Volante is smoothly installed and configured over the Alliance Integrator, which provides an open SOA framework enabling partners to easily add software components that provides business and operational features to the financial workflow of Swift users. Partner add ons may range from message validation and transformation, to payment message verification against black lists (AML), and business activity monitoring (BAM).

“As we wanted to test the integration of third party components with Alliance Integrator, we turned to Volante, our SwiftReady certified partner. It took us only a few hours to connect the Volante solution to Integrator and run it without any problem, using standard web services” says Alex Coutsouradis, manager of Integration Services at Swift. “As always, Volante has come through with a robust and user-friendly solution to common challenges faced by firms that depend on the Swift network for mission critical business activities.”
