Fame Delivers Reference Data Engine On IBM And Linux

Fame Information Services is to implement its historical and reference data engine on the IBM’s AIX and Linux for zSeries operating systems as a result of a partnership with the computer giant. Joan Meltzer, IBM’s director, solutions marketing enterprise servers, says that products like Fame provide real performance improvement along with overall cost savings. “Customers in investment banking, fund management, and banking are able to increase their performance and reliability and lower their cost of computing by implementing products like Fame’s historical and reference data engine on Linux for zSeries mainframes,” says Meltzer.
