Subscribe to our newsletter

Stock exchange Direct Edge has launched EdgeBook Cloud, an on-demand service providing depth-of-book historical trade and quote data from its EDGA and EDGX markets. The data is delivered via Xignite’s cloud-based infrastructure, and is targeted at market analysis, back-testing, and compliance applications.

There are three delivery options:

“Our goal is to make EdgeBook Cloud the most comprehensive and intuitive market data product

* EdgeBook Flex Download – Custom queries that deliver large data downloads on demand.

* EdgeBook Replay – Daily quote and trade data presented in precise chronological order, containing the exact messages as they were originally disseminated.

* EdgeBook Snapshot – Historical trade and quote data via an API.

Xignite’s delivery mechanism leverages Amazon’s cloud service to distribute large datasets via Web Services to its customers.  It also counts CME Group and Nasdaq OMX among its exchange customers.
