BMO Partners Trade Informatics to Improve Trading Performance

Subscribe to our newsletter

BMO Capital Markets (BMO), the investment and corporate banking arm of BMO Financial Group, has partnered Trade Informatics to access the latter’s transaction cost analysis (TCA) tools and execute algorithmic trades with improved execution quality. The partnership allows BMO to measure and evaluate trade decisions with personalised systematic trading technology that is customised to match its clients’ investment processes and based on third-party analytics.

The decision to partner with Trade Informatics comes as BMO looks to maximise trading alpha across institutional orders, while improving workflow and execution quality across the bank’s overall trading franchise. Trade Informatics’ analytics platform will help BMO clients achieve greater execution quality backed by the Trading Analysis Program application, comprehensive reporting, analyst support, consultative guidance, and ongoing performance.

David Porcelli, co-head of global trading at BMO Capital Markets, says: “We are always looking for ways to improve trading performance for our clients. Our focus is to gain a better understanding of our order flow, in a way that complements our existing offer across trading products. Trade Informatics will help our clients verify and understand the quality of their trades, enabling them to make better and more informed decisions.”
