Berlanger Heads to Deutsche Bank, Bookheim Surfaces in Consultancy Role at Citi

Last week, Reference Data Review revealed that director in charge of data quality at Citi, Geert Berlanger was departing after five years with the firm. This week we can reveal he is headed to Deutsche Bank to take up the role of programme director for client business services, responsible for functions such as client onboarding. Citi, however, has recruited ex-Swift corporate actions expert Linda Bookheim in a consultancy role on an events data management project it is running.

Berlanger’s experiences during Citi’s counterparty data management project will, no doubt, prove beneficial in his new role at Deutsche Bank. Prior to joining Citi, Berlanger was principal consultant at consultancy firm Capco for a period of eight years. Before this, he was a senior consultant at systems integrator and professional services firm Cimad in Belgium, which was later acquired by and became a wholly owned subsidiary of IBM, for three years.

Bookheim departed Swift last year, along with a number of other senior staff, as it came to the closing stages of its Lean programme. She had been a senior manager within Swift’s Securities division for some time and has been a frequent speaker on the corporate actions circuit. Since her departure from Swift, Bookheim has been engaged in some work for BNP Prime Brokerage but she is now working alongside the team at Citi in a consultancy role.
