Archax Taps Chainlink Data to Unlock $GOVY for Collateral, Margins, Trading

Regulated digital asset platform Archax has chosen popular oracle provider Chainlink to unlock increased utility for $GOVY, its tokenised US Treasury product. Using Chainlink Data Streams,  Archax will have the data needed to fully enable features like on-chain lending, collateral and treasury-management applications for banks, asset managers, and DeFi users.

$GOVY alleviates the operational friction associated with managing maturing short-term T-Bills, giving eligible investors direct, legally enforceable exposure to short-dated US Treasury Bills held 1:1 in regulated custody. As each T-Bill matures, it is automatically replaced with an equivalent short-dated security, providing continuous Treasury exposure without the need to manage maturities or reinvestment manually.

Compared to Treasury ETFs, $GOVY is designed for digital finance, where institutions operate in always-on markets, with key features including:

  • Transfers between eligible, whitelisted wallets
  • The option to take delivery of the underlying tokenised T-Bills
  • 24/7/365 subscription and redemption using supported stablecoins
  • Regulated custody through Archax, with Northern Trust as the custodian for the underlying securities

Making a regulated asset available on chain is only the first step. For $GOVY to be used in automated lending, trading, or collateral management applications, institutions also need up-to-date data to value the asset and manage risk.

“Institutions need more than a digital representation of an asset. They need regulated custody, clear legal rights, and dependable market data. Chainlink Data Streams provides the industry-standard pricing infrastructure needed to integrate $GOVY into sophisticated lending, collateral, and treasury management applications, turning it into a programmable asset that both banks and DeFi protocols can integrate at scale,” says Nick Donovan, Chief Revenue Officer at Archax.

Through the integration with Chainlink Data Streams, $GOVY becomes programmable, productive collateral by enabling institutions to:

  • Put Treasury holdings to work as collateral: $GOVY can support secured lending and credit markets rather than remaining a passive asset.
  • Improve capital efficiency: Up-to-date valuations enable applications to calculate borrowing capacity and loan-to-value ratios more accurately.
  • Automate collateral management: Institutions can build workflows that monitor positions, rebalance collateral, or respond to predefined risk thresholds.
  • Support margin and trading applications: Current pricing informs margin requirements and collateral eligibility across approved on-chain markets.
  • Modernise treasury operations: $GOVY can be integrated into automated cash, liquidity, and yield-management strategies operating beyond conventional market hours.

“We’re excited to see Archax adopt Chainlink to make tokenised treasuries usable across the digital finance economy. By connecting Chainlink’s market-leading data infrastructure and Archax’s 1:1 custody model, $GOVY bypasses the friction of traditional Treasury products, enabling it to be adopted across on-chain protocols as verifiable, yield-bearing collateral,” says Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs.
