DST Global Solutions, a provider of business solutions and services to the global investment management industry, today announced that Acadian Asset Management has successfully implemented the HiNet Portfolio Accounting solution. Acadian is a Boston-based investment management firm that specialises in active global and international equity strategies that employ sophisticated analytical models.

DST Global Solutions’ HiNet Portfolio Accounting solution is designed to help firms like Acadian to further improve accounting data quality and reduce the duration of month end reconciliation cycles. Its robust corporate event processing is designed to help reduce manual reconciliation and correction processes. In addition, Acadian looks to HiNet’s flexible interface design to support real-time integration with Acadian’s order management, cash management and corporate action systems, and looks to its rules-based processing engine to provide the flexibility to help Acadian meet the accounting needs of its complex international portfolios.

Frank Dore, head of securities operations for Acadian, said: “We needed a solution to help us manage our accounting data and to position us to decrease our reporting cycles. DST Global Solutions’ HiNet Portfolio Accounting solution provides us with a robust accounting engine, real-time interfaces and operational reporting capabilities, which will help us to quickly identify data discrepancies and increase the accuracy of our reporting. The solution augments investment operations, a core competency at Acadian.”

As part of its solution, DST Global Solutions has extended its integrated Query Tool to meet the complexities of Acadian’s international portfolios. The Query Tool is designed to provide Acadian with a flexible, web-based operations dashboard with drill down capabilities that enables users to view all account positions and their underlying data. The Query Tool’s flexible infrastructure can be configured to integrate with any DST Global Solutions’ application such as the HiPerformance performance measurement solution and the Askari risk management solution, or it can be integrated with other third party applications.

Walter Laliberte, CEO, DST Global Solutions North America, said: “Our successful relationship with Acadian Asset Management is based on our ability to deliver adaptable solutions tailored to support their unique business needs. Our strategic consulting services combined with our technology solutions position us to be a long-term provider to clients such as Acadian that require a global processing solution.”
