A-Team-Sponsored Crostyx Girls U12s Team Leads the Way at In2Hockey County Championships

Crostyx Hockey Club’s Girls Under 12 team succeeded in defending their Essex Champions title last month, coming top of their qualifying table in the In2Hockey County Championships and securing a place at the Regional Championships in Norfolk later this month.

A-Team Group is a keen sponsor of Crostyx’s Junior Section, which also saw its Boys U12 team go through to the next round of the In2Hockey championships. The U10 Boys finished third in their group, just outside the qualifying places, and the U10 Girls finished fourth on goal difference.

It was all eyes on the U12 Girls, though, who were defending their first Essex Champions title from last season and were keen to retain their trophy against a set of strong opposition teams. The Crostyx girls needed to win by one goal to secure first place in the final game, and managed to pull off a resounding 5-0 win, ensuring the trophy remains in the cabinet at The Woodford Wells, home to Crostyx Hockey Club.

Yet again these girls will go through as Essex Champions to the Regional Championships in Norfolk and with more experience under their belt of playing under pressure who knows what could happen this year. Meanwhile, with far less experience under their belts, the U12 Boys, managed to finish second overall and also secure a place at the Regional Championships.

A-Team offers our congratulations go to all those who took part and thanks to our wonderful band of spectators, coaches, managers, umpires and intrepid photographer who braved the bitter cold to deliver great results for Crostyx once again. Well done everyone!
