ANNA Service Bureau Links ISINs to MICs

Subscribe to our newsletter

In an apparent bid to stave off potential competition from the London Stock Exchange’s pending Sedol Masterfile service, the ANNA Service Bureau this month announced it would provide financial instrument listing information related to a security’s official place of listing (OPOL). The link between the ISO’s ISIN identifier and the MIC market identifier is designed to answer calls from industry groups such as the Reference Data Coalition (Redac) and the Reference Data User Group (RDUG) for better identifiers to support cross-border trading. The ASB is operated on behalf of the Association of National Numbering Agencies by Telekurs Financial and Standard & Poor’s CUSIP Service Bureau.
