Volante Technologies Partners with Circle to Offer Stablecoin Payments

Payments platform Volante Technologies has formed a strategic collaboration with stablecoin issuer Circle designed to ease the integration of Circle’s USDC into the payments operations of financial institutions. USDC – which is pegged 1:1 with the US Dollar – is the world’s second most liquid stablecoin, with around $75 billion in circulation.

Via the collaboration, Volante is bringing USDC workflows into its AI-powered Payments Platform, allowing financial institutions to readily evaluate and implement stablecoin services alongside other payment rails, such as Fedwire, CHIPS and SWIFT.

“For banks, stablecoin adoption is not about building a separate digital asset stack; it is about integrating a new rail into the payment infrastructure they already depend on. Volante clients can soon test USDC workflows within our AI-powered Payments Platform, including how stablecoin activity can be orchestrated alongside existing rails, operational controls, and on- and off-ramp requirements,” says Deepak Gupta, Chief Product, Engineering, and Delivery Officer, Volante Technologies.

Founded in 2001, Volante counts more than 150 financial institutions across 35 countries as clients, including four of the top five global corporate banks and seven of the top 10 US banks. Its payments platform is most–commonly deployed as a hosted managed service, though private cloud and on-premises installations are also supported. The platform features a library of more than 300 APIs for integration with existing core banking systems. Additionally, its Vol360i agentic AI functionality improves operational processes to deliver straight-through processing rates greater than 95%.

The collaboration meets an accelerating industry shift toward multi-rail payments architectures that combine traditional payment systems with digital assets rails. By enabling financial institutions to assess how stablecoins such as USDC can fit within existing operating models, Volante and Cricle are allowing banks to explore new approaches to payments, settlement, and liquidity movement while maintaining the governance, controls, and interoperability required for institutional use.

Notes Nikhil Chandhok, Chief Product and Technology Officer, Circle: “As stablecoins become an increasingly important component of modern payments infrastructure, financial institutions need practical ways to understand how digital dollars can fit within existing operations. Our collaboration with Volante does exactly that by bringing USDC capabilities into the systems, controls, and processes banks already use, and helping them move from exploration toward operational implementation.”
