Apiax, a Zurich-based provider of embedded compliance products, has released a solution designed to improve operational efficiency and accuracy of policy searches. The solution is a synthesis of Apiax’s compliance expertise, rule-based technology, and Generative AI, and allows financial institutions to access and verify company policy details with ease.

The company’s so-called AI Policy Assistant is GenAI-driven and transforms compliance policies into dynamic conversations. Based on Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI services, the solution offers instant, precise, and verified answers to policy queries, ensuring governance is maintained through its robust verification layer. AI Policy integrates with Apiax’s existing rules-based solution, enhancing decision-making efficiency without compromising compliance.

“We developed AI Policy Assistant with the expertise gained from serving multiple global financial institutions. The solution doesn’t compromise on control and transparency and is fully integrated into our comprehensive compliance workbench, ready to tackle complex and multi-faceted policy frameworks,” says Nicolas Blanchard, chief product officer at Apiax.

Apiax is part of the Microsoft for Startups Program. Blanchard adds: “This accelerated our innovation process by leveraging the extensive resources and expertise of Microsoft.”
