Refinitiv has enhanced liquidity access on its Eikon desktop terminal with the integration of iQbonds from valantic Trading Solutions. The arrangement will give fixed income traders using Eikon greater access to information that will help them make faster decisions.

iQbonds can be integrated into a trader’s workflow using the Refinitiv Side by Side Integration API. When Eikon Apps from iQbonds is opened, iQbonds displays lists of bonds to trade and a user can click on one bond to get a description.

Alexandre Hardouin, head of fixed income desktop trading at Refinitiv, says: “The partnership with valantic is an important achievement for us because the delivered solutions create added value for the trader. Eikon and iQbonds together offer an integrated pre-trade, trade and post-trade workflow for fixed income traders.”

iQbonds combines market making and pricing capabilities for fixed income products with connections to electronic markets, exchanges and information platforms. The system continuously calculates bond prices and yields, giving traders the ability to quote bonds across electronic markets while simultaneously placing and trading orders. Side by Side Integration API provides users the ability to connect any financial application on their desktop to Eikon, integrating applications into their workflow.
