Data Management Summit Promises Plenty of Compelling Content

Subscribe to our newsletter

Data Management Summit is back in London on March 15th, hosted by A-Team Group and promising a great line-up of speakers who will discuss everything from driving value out of data to data governance, quality, visualisation, client onboarding, Know Your Customer (KYC) and, of course, Markets in Financial Instruments Directive II (MiFID II).

It’s going to be a great day, with content dedicated to resolving your data management challenges as well as to taking advantage of data opportunities. There will also be plenty of time to network with colleagues and peers – but you do need to register now as places are filling up fast and this will be the only Data Management Summit we will host in London in 2017.

That’s not to say we won’t be back with another influential and informative event later in the year, because we will be! Instead of our traditional fall data management event, we are responding to regulatory change requirements that cross our data management and intelligent trading technology communities with a RegTech Summit for Capital Markets in London on October 5th. A New York City RegTech event will follow on November 16th. We are all pretty excited about the new events at A-Team and hope you will be too.

Meantime, back to March and this year’s London Data Management Summit, which is just two weeks away. It’s going to be a cracker, with keynotes from speakers including State Street’s Hany Choueiri, who will present a perfect vision of data by design; Capital One’s Jean Panagamuwa, who will set out seven steps to data management heaven; and SmartStream Reference Data Utility’s Peter Moss, who will explain how to use the utility for MiFID II compliance. Also on the MiFID II agenda, the ANNA Derivatives Service Bureau will be on hand to explain how ISINs will be allocated to derivatives subject to the regulation.

As well as keynotes, there will be plenty of panel sessions and two afternoon streams, one dedicated to the sell-side, the other to the buy-side. If you work on the sell-side come and take part in the discussion on client onboarding and KYC, and join the debate on whether 2017 will be the big bang year for the Legal Entity Identifier (LEI). If you work on the buy-side, find out how you can embed data management into your firm’s DNA.

When the day is nearly done, there will be just one more item on the agenda – an informal drinks reception and time to catch up with friends and colleagues. We’re looking forward to seeing you there, so don’t forget to register for a place at the Data Management Summit.
