The global data centre service provider Equinix Inc will now host SIX Telekurs Singapore’s IT infrastructure, replacing SIX Telekurs’ existing Singapore-based computer resources. This will substantially enhance SIX Telekurs’ IT resources in Singapore. The infrastructure is hosted at two separate locations, thereby offering the benefits of redundancy and the very latest security standards.

As an IT infrastructure host, Equinix offers ultra-modern facilities and compliance with all relevant standards. Hosting the service across two separate locations, with redundant connections, will minimise the risk of failures and greatly strengthen the future stability of SIX Telekurs’ operations in Singapore.

“Outsourcing our data centre to a globally recognised operator like Equinix means that customers will enjoy a more rapid connection to our system and receive a greatly enhanced service,” says Paul Bollhalder, managing director – Asia Pacific ex Japan of SIX Telekurs. “We’re delighted by the successful changeover and the substantial added value this will generate for our customers,” added Bollhalder.

“We are honoured to host SIX Telekurs at both our data centres in Singapore, providing a resilient and robust platform to enable their integration and distribution of regional information to multiple financial institutions in Asia-Pacific and throughout the world,” comments David Wilkinson, senior director, business development of Equinix Asia Pacific. “Our provision of a highly available infrastructure and access to our established financial community further offers SIX Telekurs the benefit of an extended choice of connectivity and a partnership within a network-dense environment,” added Wilkinson.

This investment in new IT infrastructure in Singapore demonstrates SIX Telekurs’ confidence in the growth of this important financial centre. In Equinix, SIX Telekurs has found a partner to match its own exacting IT standards.
