Broadridge Financial Solutions today announced a strategic alliance with Calculated Design – leaders in the automated creation of financial documents, whereby Broadridge will offer the creation of regulatory Fund Facts documents as the newest addition to Broadridge Canada’s Smart Suite of products.

This strategic alliance will allow Broadridge to leverage Calculated Design’s expertise in the automated creation of financial documents and provide an end-to-end solution for the creation and filing of regulatory Fund Facts documents as part of the Canadian Regulatory Point of Sale initiative.

“At Calculated Design we are excited about this new alliance. Over the past 10 years we have been developing advanced document creation and regeneration solutions for the financial industry,” said Alan Brown, president and co-founder of Calculated Design. “Our strategic alliance with Broadridge will put our technology into their solution which covers the entire lifecycle of a POS Fund Fact document. This combined solution will enable our clients to easily meet all of their needs with respect to upcoming industry regulatory changes without the administrative burdens.”

“This is only the beginning. Other financial product documents have been automated in the same fashion and will be made available in the near future. The ability to expand our existing services to include document creation and provide operational efficiencies is very exciting,” said Patricia Rosch, president, Investor Communication Solutions – Canada, Broadridge.

The Smart Fund Facts service will create Fund Facts documents for mutual funds through an automated document creation process. Based on industry and/or fund data, automated templates will be utilised to create web-viewable documents in a fraction of the time it would take using conventional processes. In addition to creating the documents, Broadridge will also provide a SEDAR filing service to complete the regulatory process. Smart Fund Facts will be integrated into Broadridge’s Smart Prospectus service and will provide end-to-end fulfillment for the investment industry.
