Moody’s Investors Service has announced the appointment of Andrew Kimball as the acting head of its global Structured Finance business, following the departure of Noel Kirnon at the end of this month. According to Moody’s, a search for a permanent head of the division is underway.
In the interim period, Richard Cantor will assume acting responsibility for the role Kimball previously held as chief credit officer of Moody’s Investors Service and chairman of its credit policy committee.
Kimball has held various senior positions at Moody’s since he joined the firm in 1987, including senior managing director for global corporate finance and managing director for Moody’s risk management services.
Cantor most recently served as managing director of the credit policy research group, which measures ratings performance globally, publishes related research, and contributes to default research data and analytical tools. He is a member of the Moody’s credit policy committee and co-chairs Moody’s academic advisory panel.
