LSEG Launches REDI on Workspace in Strategic Move to Unify Buy-Side Execution

LSEG Data & Analytics has launched REDI on Workspace, a significant step in its strategy to create a unified, end-to-end ecosystem for the buy-side. The new offering embeds the execution management capabilities of its REDI platform directly into LSEG Workspace, its flagship data and analytics platform.

The move is the culmination of a multi-year strategy to modernise the long-standing REDI franchise and provide distinct, tailored solutions for different segments of the market. With REDI on Workspace, LSEG is targeting investment professionals who require a streamlined, self-contained trading experience for equities, options, and futures, combining execution with the real-time market intelligence and customisable workflows inherent to the Workspace environment.

This launch solidifies LSEG’s two-pronged strategy for execution management. REDI on Workspace will serve as the primary offering for firms that prefer an integrated, “single-pane-of-glass” solution. It directly complements LSEG’s high-performance TORA platform, which will continue to serve as the firm’s strategic, standalone Order & Execution Management System (O/EMS) for more sophisticated clients with complex, multi-asset requirements and a need for API-centric integration into their existing technology stack.

This strategic segmentation provides a clear path forward for users of the legacy REDI platform, which LSEG is planning to eventually sunset.

Holden Sibley, Head of Investment Management & Execution Solutions, LSEG, commented: “Our strategy is to deliver to customers the unparalleled breadth of LSEG’s capabilities through the Workspace ecosystem. By integrating execution management directly into Workspace, we’re empowering clients to act on insights without switching systems. It’s a smarter, faster way to trade.”

The integration of REDI into Workspace is a key milestone in LSEG’s broader ambition to provide a complete, front-office solution for investment professionals. By connecting execution with its data and analytics foundation, and sitting alongside its AlphaDesk portfolio and order management system, LSEG is aiming to deliver a seamless workflow that covers the entire trading life cycle, from pre-trade analysis to execution and post-trade reporting.
