Fund management advisory firm Carne Global Financial Services has added to its London team with the appointment of Paul Ramsey as a principal consultant. The firm is hopeful that Ramsey’s experience on numerous alternative investment and traditional asset management projects in the front, middle and back office will allow him to service the needs of its hedge fund, private equity and traditional asset management clients.

He will be based in Carne’s London office, where the firm says he will contribute to the growth of the Carne technology and operations practice, established earlier this year.

Ramsey has 21 years of experience in financial services and IT, and joins Carne from London IT consultancy Citisoft, where he led a series of consultancy projects for fund managers including Credit Suisse and Nomura Asset Management.

Prior to Citisoft, Ramsey spent three years at Henderson Global Investors, and six years at Fidelity Investments, where he was technical director for London Front Office systems. He has also held roles in project management and systems analysis for Sun Microsystems and DST International.

Ramsey’s appointment coincides with the London practice re-locating to larger premises in the City of London.
