A-Team Group’s industry-leading Data Management Summit is back in London for its 13th year on 30 March 2023 at the America Square Conference Centre – and you are invited!

The Summit will bring together leading data management practitioners, innovators and providers to discuss the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in the sector. Topics will include data transformation for business value, data migration to the cloud, automation, data products, and ESG data management.

Outside the conference room, there will be plenty of opportunities to network with Summit speakers, sponsors and delegates, including a drinks reception after the close of the event.

Keynotes

An opening practitioner keynote fireside chat with Ayaz Haji, CDO and head of data engineering at Credit Suisse, will discuss the pressing issues of acquiring and retaining the talent, skills and culture that are key to digital transformation success. The keynote will also consider how to embed a sustainable data culture to drive data-first decision making, the challenges posed by big tech companies when seeking talent and skills, and how working practices, skill sets and capabilities will need to change as financial institutions implement technologies such as machine learning and AI.

A second keynote fireside chat with Josh Gaddy, vice president, director, developer advocacy and data architecture at FactSet, and Akash Nakarja, director of sales engineering at FactSet, will review how to navigate operating model choices in uncertain times.

Additional keynote presentations will be made by Philip Dutton, co-founder and CEO at Solidatus; and Lauren Dixon, Senior Manager, Data Collection at the Financial Conduct Authority.

Panel Sessions

The Summit promises some great conversations with panel sessions spanning data management innovation, practical implementation, regulatory compliance, the power of automation, and ESG data management.

Niresh Rajah, head of the data, RegTech and digital advisory practice at Grant Thornton, will moderate the event’s CDO practitioner panel on how to achieve successful data transformation for long term business value. He will be joined by CDOs and heads of data management from Commercial & NatWest Markets, Phoenix Group, Partners Capital, Sainsburys Bank, and Anglo American.

Naomi Clarke, chief data officer at HUB, will lead discussion on how to capitalise on data migration to the cloud, as well as the challenges along the way; and Data Management Insight editor, Sarah Underwood, will moderate a panel on data democratisation.

That will be it for the morning Summit sessions, with afternoon sessions following a lunch and networking break during which you can catch up with Summit speakers, sponsors and colleagues.

A-Team Group president and chief content officer Andrew Delaney will kick-off the afternoon sessions with an expert panel looking at the data management response to the requirements of multiple regulatory regimes including EU and UK regulatory divergence.

The power of automation will be the next topic under scrutiny during a panel led by Sarah Belsham, partner at RSM.

The Summit’s last, but certainly not least, panel will focus on ESG data management including how to set up a robust ESG data framework to manage compliance and business insight, data architecture considerations when building ESG data platforms, approaches to the challenges of data sourcing and quality, and progress on ratings, scores and methodologies. Mark Davies, partner at Element 22, will lead the conversation.
