Subscribe to our newsletter

Woodbine Associates is pleased to welcome Michael Kurzrok in the role of Director. Mr. Kurzrok will focus on analysis of strategic, business, regulatory, market structure and technology issues and how these influences impact firms in the global equity markets. He also will undertake consulting engagements for Woodbine Associates’ clients.

The bulk of Mr. Kurzrok’s financial career was spent at Caxton Associates, where for nine years he developed their statistical arbitrage trading desk. He traded millions of shares on a daily basis in addition to evaluating broader, desk-oriented aspects of the business including infrastructure, work flow, transaction cost analysis, and the impact of regulation on trading.

Mr. Kurzrok began his career at a small Japanese bank, then subsequently pursued real estate development. He worked for a closely held firm, assisting in the conceptual, developmental and construction phases of building hotel properties while expanding the hotel’s franchise.

Mr. Kurzrok has a BS in Finance from Lehigh University and earned the FINRA Series 7 license.

“I am very excited about joining Woodbine Associates,” comments Kurzrok. “I have a great opportunity to work with a seasoned team of analysts and consultants who have demonstrated unique value to capital markets firms.”

“Michael’s experience, demeanor, and drive make him a natural fit for our business efforts,” states Matt Samelson, Woodbine’s founding principal. “His energy and keen analytical skills will undoubtedly give our client-oriented activities a strong boost.”
