J.P. Morgan Worldwide Securities Services (WSS) today announced that it has hired Brian Coughlin as its new Asset Managers and Insurance Companies (AMIC) Market Manager. Ann Doherty has been appointed Market Manager for WSS’ EMEA Based Complex Global Accounts.

The new hire sees Mr. Coughlin join J.P. Morgan from HFX Capital, a boutique investment company where he was President and Founding Member with responsibility for operational activities and business development. Over the past 25 years, Mr. Coughlin has successfully built management teams and operations for State Street, the financial services provider, in Dublin, London, Luxembourg and Boston.

Ms. Doherty has held a number of senior roles in WSS sales and relationship management, in her 19 years with J.P. Morgan.

“Asset managers and insurers represent our biggest client market in the EMEA region,” said Francis Jackson, Market Executive, Worldwide Securities Services, EMEA, at J.P. Morgan. “As a global service provider, J.P. Morgan provides solutions to help clients mitigate the risks of challenges including regulation, the convergence of traditional and alternative asset management and the increased importance of distributors. All of these challenges have global and regional dimensions and the expertise that Mr. Coughlin and Ms. Doherty bring to their roles will be a great asset as we gain traction with global clients based in EMEA and take EMEA-based global clients to other regions.”
