Hunton & Williams is pleased to announce the appointment of Bridget Treacy as London office managing partner. Treacy, who also leads the firm’s UK privacy and information management practice, will be responsible for providing leadership and coordinating with firm leaders to oversee strategic planning and client service initiatives for the London office. She succeeds Martin Thomas, who served in the position for six years. Thomas will continue to play a leading role in the firm’s international corporate and capital markets practices.

“We are very pleased Bridget will serve as managing partner in London,” said Wally Martinez, Hunton & Williams managing partner. “She has a sterling reputation and strong relationships with many of our key clients. We applaud Martin’s role in building the firm’s reputation and presence in London. Bridget will guide the firm’s strategic initiatives in London, which will focus primarily on leveraging three of the firm’s core global strengths in energy and infrastructure transactions, privacy and data security, and corporate and finance; providing UK services to our institutional client base in those areas.”

Treacy, who joined Hunton & Williams in 2006, advises on domestic and international data protection issues. Her practice focuses on privacy, data protection, information governance and e-commerce issues for multinational companies across a broad range of industry sectors.
