Vela Adds Cryptocurrency Data from CoinMarketCap to SuperFeed

Subscribe to our newsletter

Vela has made its first move into cryptocurrency through a partnership with CoinMarketCap, which will provide crypto data for Vela’s SuperFeed streaming market data feed.

The partnership will provide Vela’s institutional client base with normalised access to a list of more than 1,800 cryptocurrency coins and tokens supported by CoinMarketCap. By integrating CoinMarketCap’s professional API with SuperFeed, institutions will be able to access cryptocurrency data alongside more traditional market data sources.

Jen Nayar, CEO at Vela, says: “With crypto being one of the biggest disruptors in our space today, this agreement fortifies Vela’s entry into this innovative digital currency sector.”

Vela’s SuperFeed provides low-latency, normalised market data without the need for client infrastructure. The addition of cryptocurrencies complements more than 100 markets and data sources already available on the feed, covering all major US and European markets and a growing range of Asian venues.
