Solidatus Takes Snowflake Horizon Governance Solution to the Next Level

Subscribe to our newsletter

Snowflake partner Solidatus has expanded the capabilities of Snowflake Horizon, Snowflake’s built-in governance solution, with the addition of active metadata management and visualisation. These additions provide dynamic end-to-end blueprints of data landscapes that enhance data observability, boost governance and compliance, reduce risk, improve operating efficiency, and fast-track Snowflake migrations.

Solidatus dynamic data blueprints can include sources upstream of, within and downstream of a Snowflake instance, allowing firms to gain a vantage point across the data ecosystem, answer the questions that matter most, and carry out strategic change. They can also cover a Snowflake instance, illustrating databases, schemas, tables, and views, and displaying column-level dependencies and lineage.

Looking forward, Solidatus plans to further enhance Snowflake Horizon by enabling users to ingest Snowflake roles and visualise access permissions to database objects to improve audit control and governance; automatically categorise and visualise semantic and privacy information for most accessed tables; and broaden the scope of its data blueprint by directly ingesting Snowpipe data flow information.
