Shell has gone live with the Cadis EDM platform for its global treasury department. The success of the London-based implementation provides a consistent, real-time view of relevant data to all global treasury applications and over 30 different ERP systems across the entire company.
“As global reform heightens, including more rigorous international regulatory controls, data governance will be at the crux of accurate treasury operations,” said Daniel Mayo, practice leader for financial services technology, Ovum. “Processes and people need to be properly aligned to a deadline-driven environment. Firms can’t wait until the last minute to act – proactive companies are reviewing and investing in their data management technology solutions now.”
“Our business philosophy is all about empowering users to take control of their data, said Franck Willaime,” Managing Director Continental Europe at Cadis. “Shell’s comprehensive data management structure means that it can easily leverage its FX and rates data to continue to provide accurate information for invoicing and financial statements across the enterprise.”
