Enterprise and master data management provider GoldenSource has appointed a new chief executive, replacing longstanding company head John Eley.
James Corrigan takes the top seat at the New York and London-based company, moving from his role as president of financial data company Beacon Platform. Before that, he was executive vice president and managing director at SimCorp.
GoldenSource said Corrigan’s “deep expertise in strategy development, client consultancy, and operational optimisation will play a crucial role in enhancing GoldenSource’s client services and driving continued innovation across the company’s offerings”.
Eley had led GoldenSource for a decade, a spokesperson told Data Management Insight, adding that he had decided to step down as CEO to pursue “new personal opportunities”.
Corrigan hailed his predecessor for fostering innovation at the company.
“John has been instrumental in driving GoldenSource’s growth over the past decade, and I’m excited to take the reins and continue that journey,” he said.
“For over four decades, GoldenSource has been a pioneer in the data management technology space. More recently, it has been a leader in the evolution of cloud technology for data management, which is central to its offering and warrants significant opportunities for further innovation.
“I’m honoured to have the opportunity to work with our clients and the GoldenSource team to build on its legacy and advance the company’s strategic vision for the future.”
In a statement Eley said he too felt honoured to have led the company and “to contribute to a pivotal chapter” in its history.
He said he was confident that Corrigan would be a worthy successor.
“I extend my congratulations to Jamie as he steps into his new role,” Eley said. “With his wealth of experience and industry expertise, he will continue to solidify GoldenSource’s position as the go-to provider of data management solutions across financial services for many years to come.”
