Bank of New York (BNY) Mellon Asset Servicing has appointed John Gruber as head of global product management for its Performance & Risk Analytics (P&RA) product line. He replaces Debra Baker, who recently was named chief administrative officer for the bank’s Global Corporate Trust division.

Gruber will be based in Boston and report to Dan Wywoda, head of global product management for BNY Mellon Asset Servicing.

Before joining BNY Mellon, he was co-founder and managing principal of Hamersley Partners, a third party marketing and research firm for specialised asset managers and hedge funds. Prior to that, he worked for 10 years at State Street Analytics as senior vice president in charge of global client service and consulting.
