A-Team Group has expanded its portfolio of industry-leading publications with the release of ESG Handbook 2021, a guide to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) investing, disclosure, and product development. The handbook offers capital markets participants, data vendors and solutions providers extensive coverage of all elements of ESG, from an initial definition and note on why ESG is important, to existing and emerging regulations, data challenges and solutions, regulatory reporting requirements, industry initiatives, and the call for global and consistent standards for sustainability reporting.

The ESG market is one of the largest developments in the history of capital markets. In 2020, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) estimated that the amount of professionally managed portfolios that have integrated key elements of ESG assessments could exceed $17.5 trillion globally, while the growth of ESG-related traded investment products available to institutional and retail investors already exceeds $1 trillion and continues to grow rapidly.

Angela Wilbraham, CEO at A-Team Group, says: “Having followed data and technology developments across the financial enterprise for over 20 years here at A-Team Group, we believe the significant shift we are now seeing towards more positive ESG practices is one of the best and most rapid advancements in our industry.”

A Strategic Imperative

With so much at stake, the ESG Handbook clarifies the challenges of ESG, including reporting, data sourcing and greenwashing, and identifies opportunities for successful ESG investing and product development. It also offers step-by-step action plans for data management and regulatory reporting to help you achieve ESG best practice, and an outlook considering ‘what next’ for ESG and market participants on route to global sustainable finance.

Download the handbook to find out more about:

  • The scope and definition of ESG
  • Existing and emerging regulations
  • Firms subject to the rules and regulations
  • Data types and data challenges
  • Regulatory reporting requirements
  • The need for data and reporting standards
  • Where next for ESG and market participants

In addition to the handbook, A-Team Group is working on the Autumn launch of a new content service, ESG Insight. Wilbraham explains: “ESG Insight will bring you news, commentary and in-depth features about how the capital markets industry is dealing with data management and regulatory reporting to meet the increasing needs of ESG-focused investing.”

You can sign up to ESG Insight here and we will let you know when we go live with the new service.
