A-Team Group has announced the winners of the inaugural AI in Capital Markets Awards 2025, celebrating the most innovative and impactful applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning across the global financial markets. The new awards programme recognises technologies that have moved beyond proof-of-concept to deliver measurable value, supporting efficiency, resilience, and insight generation across the capital-markets ecosystem.

Reflecting AI’s transition from experiment to essential enabler, the 2025 awards highlight solutions that demonstrate practical, explainable innovation. Winners were selected following a detailed review by A-Team Group’s editorial team and an advisory board of senior practitioners drawn from leading financial institutions including Wells Fargo, HSBC, Deutsche Bank, Bank of America, J.P. Morgan, NatWest Group, and T. Rowe Price. Entries were judged on innovation, scalability, accuracy, and the real-world outcomes achieved for their clients.

The awards were organised across four principal categories – Data Management, Trading Technology, RegTech, and ESG – each reflecting how AI and machine learning are being embedded within mission-critical processes. From data ingestion and analytics to risk management and compliance, the 2025 winners represent an industry now defined by intelligent automation, deeper data understanding, and improved decision-making under pressure.

Among this year’s leading award recipients were Bloomberg, winner of Best AI Solution for Historical Data Analysis for its BQuant platform. BQuant combines Bloomberg’s extensive datasets with advanced analytics in a secure, Python-based environment, allowing clients to model, test, and deploy quantitative strategies at scale. Its ability to integrate with internal infrastructure has made it a benchmark for AI-enabled research and collaboration.

RegPass, developed by Braithwate, won Best AI Solution for Regulatory Horizon Scanning. Designed as an intelligent compliance advisor, RegPass delivers end-to-end traceability from regulatory alert to audit, using AI to map updates to policies and controls. By combining natural-language processing, generative summarisation, and human-in-the-loop oversight, the platform cuts alert triage times and provides clear, explainable evidence for every compliance decision.

Symphony was recognised with Best AI Solution for Trader Workflow Management, reflecting its agentic-AI and communication intelligence capabilities. Through voice analytics, agent orchestration, and integration with its secure messaging platform, Symphony enables traders to convert unstructured data into actionable intelligence while maintaining full control over data security and regulatory guardrails.

Finastra received Best AI-Enabled App for Capital Markets for its Summit solution, which automates post-trade operations and enhances pre-settlement matching. By applying AI to unstructured data and reconciliation workflows, Summit helps financial institutions meet compressed settlement cycles such as T+1 and reduce operational risk through faster, more accurate processing.

S&P Global Market Intelligence earned Best AI Solution for Research Summarisation for its S&P Capital IQ Pro platform. Using document intelligence and generative AI, the system transforms vast quantities of research, transcripts, and filings into concise, auditable insights. Features such as ChatIQ and Chart Explainer allow analysts to query documents in natural language, accelerating insight discovery and improving transparency in decision-making.

The Editor’s Recognition Award for AI Professional of the Year was presented to Iro Tasitsiomi, Head of AI & Investments Data Science at T. Rowe Price, recognising her leadership in quantitative finance and practical AI deployment. Other category winners spanned a wide cross-section of capital-markets technology, including Acuity Knowledge Partners for Best Agentic AI Platform, Alkymi for Most innovative use of AI in an enterprise data management initiative, Element22 for Best AI Consultancy for Capital Markets, Muinmos for Best AI Solution for Regulatory Intelligence, n-Tier for Most Innovative AI in Regulatory Compliance Initiative, Nasdaq for Best AI Solution for Risk Management and Opensee for Best AI-Based Solution for Data Management. Additional accolades recognised excellence across trading, data quality, sanctions screening, ESG analytics, and operational risk management.

Across the entries, several themes stood out. The first is the rapid adoption of agentic and explainable AI, as firms move to integrate autonomous agents within established control frameworks. The second is data governance and quality, which underpin every AI deployment across trading, risk, and compliance. Third, operational resilience and model governance remain essential priorities, with vendors demonstrating how AI can enhance auditability and regulatory readiness rather than compromise it. Collectively, the winners illustrate an industry entering a new phase of maturity – where the focus is shifting from innovation for innovation’s sake to the responsible scaling of AI capabilities across the enterprise.

Andrew Delaney, President and Chief Content Officer at A-Team Group, noted that the awards reflect “a new level of practicality and collaboration across the AI landscape in finance,” highlighting how firms are embedding intelligent automation into the core of market infrastructure and regulatory operations. Julia Bardmesser, chair of the advisory board, thanked members for their contribution and emphasised that the winners “demonstrate what good looks like in the responsible adoption of AI.”

The success of the 2025 awards sets the stage for continued discussion on AI’s role in shaping Global Capital Markets and Treasury. A-Team Group will expand this conversation at its upcoming AI in Data Management Summit in New York (March 2026) and AI in Capital Markets Summit in London (May 2026), bringing together practitioners, technologists, and regulators to explore the next generation of AI use-cases and governance frameworks.
