He will be based in Hong Kong, reporting to Neil Harvey, Head of Asia Pacific and Head of Emerging Markets globally and Sudip Thakor, Head of Global Emerging Markets Products for Asset Management.

In this newly created role, Mr Guinness will focus on Asian emerging markets product development and investment solutions for regional clients who are keen to tap into the growth potential offered by emerging markets opportunities globally. Credit Suisse’s Asset Management business provides strategic advice, services and products to institutional clients, drawing on its global expertise in Alternative Investments, Asset Allocation and Advisory as well as Emerging Markets.

He has also worked with Prudential Asset Management and AMP Capital Investors in pan-regional product development and marketing roles focusing on institutional relationships.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Harvey said: “The continued development of our emerging markets platform is a major growth initiative within Asset Management, and a strategic priority for Credit Suisse as an integrated bank.
