World Financial Information Conference, Booth #13 — Interactive Data Corporation, a leading provider of a suite of market data solutions for wealth management professionals and their clients, today announced the launch of Market-Q 3.5. This latest version of Interactive Data’s browser-based wealth management solution offers enhancements designed to extend wealth managers’ ability to provide timely, topical and comprehensive investment and decision support information.

Market-Q 3.5 enables wealth managers to provide a higher level of client service through comprehensive and efficient access to global real-time pricing information, news, level 2 data, research, North American corporate actions and dividend data, as well as sophisticated tools for advanced charting and alert services. Market-Q 3.5 can be accessed through a web browser and has flexible conflation settings that provide real-time updates and significant improvements over the prior version of Market-Q in bandwidth utilization and network traffic.

Leading financial advisory firms and top correspondent clearing companies in North America, such as Raymond James, Pershing and Canaccord Wealth Management, utilize Market-Q to enable their wealth management professionals to obtain important financial information for decision making.

“One of the key requirements of wealth managers is having access to the right information at the right time in a quick and user-friendly format,” said Joe Cappitelli, vice president of Financial Markets for Dow Jones. “Market-Q 3.5 helps deliver on this so that financial advisors can efficiently meet and exceed the needs of their clients.”

Features of Market-Q 3.5 include:

Convenient access to comprehensive fundamentals data, integrated from a single source for both U.S. and Canadian markets, Profiles of U.S. and Canadian ETFs and mutual funds, along with key rates for a wide range of U.S. and Canadian fixed income instruments, Enhanced symbol search including context-sensitive typing features and lookup by instrument type, Enhanced Dow Jones News integration with the ability to search news by headline or within a story, along with alerting features providing better monitoring of news events as they occur, New NYMEX, COMEX and NYSE Liffe Futures market depth content, and Seamless watch list sharing between the Market-Q terminal and QuoTrek, a mobile market data app for iPhone, BlackBerry and Android phones.

Market-Q is deployed as a fully hosted solution. This delivery platform eliminates the need for additional on-site technology infrastructure costs associated with servers, circuits and routers, while offering Internet accessibility at reduced bandwidth costs.

In addition to its hosted desktops, Interactive Data provides mobile applications, hosted web portals, software components (widgets) and data feeds/APIs that allow clients to control the user experience and build their own solutions.

“The latest enhancements to Market-Q support our core vision to serve the wealth management segment by creating sophisticated offerings that aggregate some of the best financial markets content available while driving down the total cost of ownership,” said Bill Chambers, vice president and general manager for Interactive Data Managed Solutions. “Combining smart use of technology and high-quality financial information, our real-time market data solutions can help enable financial advisors to meet growing demands from their clients, while significantly reducing related infrastructure costs normally associated with traditional workstation deployments.”
