Transaction Network Services Firms Up Secure Cloud Connect with Azure

Transaction Network Services (TNS), a global provider of data communications and interoperability solutions, is enhancing its Secure Cloud Connect solution with connectivity to Microsoft Azure. Firms using Azure can easily establish connectivity between all the markets, global exchanges, and other organisations that make up TNS’s 2,100 endpoints.

Jeff Mezger, director of product management at TNS, says: “Our customers drive the direction of which cloud providers we use. We already use AWS, and now we are using Azure too among the many cloud providers we can connect with. We’re vendor neutral and platform neutral.”

Optimised for electronic trading, TNS’s secure network provides resilient connectivity with no single point of failure and allows firms to connect by choosing from a variety of diverse physical connections.

Bill Versen, chief product officer at TNS, remarks: “While cloud services are playing a key role in the digital transformation of financial enterprises, it’s important to remember that the majority of this technology has been designed on IT principles, not trading infrastructure requirements. This puts financial market participants at risk, unless additional measures, such as TNS Secure Cloud Connect, are installed. By bypassing the internet and using TNS’s private network, financial organisations can reduce the security risk and meet compliance obligations.”
