FlexTrade Systems has added the Bernstein Cube to its FlexTrader EMS, allowing traders to construct portfolios and conduct risk analyses and pre-trade controls straight from the execution management system’s blotter.
The Bernstein Cube leverages Bloomberg terminal market data to create customised risk models. Each trade can be calculated to transition from the portfolio to an optimal basket or fully replicated benchmark. FlexTrade has also added the Bernstein Cube to its new FlexNow trading system for hedge funds and mini-primes.
Andy Mahoney, head of sales for FlexTrader UK, says: “The Bernstein Cube is an ideal addition to the advanced trading functionality of our FlexTrader EMS. By simply selecting ‘Cube’ from a list of pre-trade options, traders will be provided with a granular breakdown of the risks and exposures for a portfolio and a single stock – against cash or a specific benchmark.” He adds that the Bernstein Cube is a powerful tool to assist traders in providing best execution under MiFID II.
FlexTrader EMS is a broker-neutral, execution management system that allows clients to control and customise their proprietary algorithms while maintaining the confidentiality of their trading strategies. It also allows clients to manage multiple portfolios, comprised of several sub-accounts over many global destinations from a comprehensive blotter to perform activities such as block, merge, or allocate across multiple accounts in real-time; gain optimal access to liquidity based on account specific broker restrictions; or produce trade cost estimates.
